Moen Sheehan Meyer Donates $1,000 to Couleecap, Inc.

Moen Sheehan Meyer has donated $1,000 to Couleecap, Inc., following the recently completed “MSM Gives Back” contest. Community members had the opportunity to vote for one of five nonprofit organizations to be the recipient of the donation. The contest was a way for the firm to give back to the community and help support a nonprofit organization that tirelessly works to serve others.

Attorneys Jessica T. Kirchner and Nathan Skemp present Couleecap, Inc. Executive Director Hetti Brown with a $1,000 donation from Moen Sheehan Meyer.

Couleecap, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving the needs of low-income people and families in Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon counties. Couleecap helps people in need with housing, food, transportation, and more. Through their actions, they fight poverty and promote self-sufficiency, economic development, social justice, and personal responsibility.

The $1,000 donation will be put to good use. Says Couleecap, Inc. Executive Director Hetti Brown, “We work with a lot of community partners to make sure that people with the highest needs for housing get safely housed, and especially this time of year with the temperatures falling so low, we have a lot of people coming forward who need emergency housing.”

In 2025, Couleecap, Inc. will be expanding its weatherization services to reach more households using those rebate programs. In addition, they will be beginning construction on a large housing development in the city of La Crosse that will include 70 new units of affordable housing for adults with disabilities and the local workforce.
